ENTERTAINMENT

Visitors have a wide variety of entertainment to choose from in Greece. They can visit museums and archeological sites, attend plays or music and dance festivals and watch films.

Greeks love the cinema very much and they watch all types of films. Outdoor cinemas are a great attraction during summer. There are usually two performances, one at 21:00 and another one at 23:00.

Foreign films are not dubbed, but have Greek subtitles so it's very easy for foreigners to watch them. Tickets cost about 7 Euros.

Theatre is particularly popular in Greece. There were about 100 theatres performing in Athens last winter. The most significant theatre in Thessaloniki is the National Theatre of Northern Greece . It is located on Ethnikis Amynis Street, opposite the White Tower. Tickets cost from 5-20 Euros and there is usually a discount for students.
